Flywheels

The flywheel is a storage device for kinetic energy and is designed to smooth the vibrations created by the engine’s reciprocating parts. Heavy stock flywheels are luxury items, however. They simply have no place in a high-performance vehicle. Lightweight steel flywheels are a great option for daily driven cars. Our super-light aluminum versions are recommended for those who seek all-out performance and can deal with increased vibration at idle. Either way, one can expect radical improvements to drivability under race conditions and in spirited driving. The engine will rev lightning fast, will release torque faster (for quicker acceleration), and will be much easier to control during high-speed downshifts.
