Supercharger Kits

 

Here at JBS we have been working in relative secrecy on a Rotex Mk5 chassis kit (A3, TT etc) these supercharger kits complement our already extensive range of forced induction components for the 3.2 24v V6.

JBS can now offer both a turbo and supercharger kit for the Mk5 platform.

These JBS developed kits RETAIN the factory air conditioning, washer bottle etc, whilst leaving the engine bay looking relatively standard. With an OEM belt tensioned system belt slippage is only a problem for the competitors...

Every aspect of this kit has been fully engineered for performance and high quality, using the latest CAD and flow analysis software to guarantee perfect fitment and meet JBS's high expectations in both performance and quality.

JBS's in-house development, Custom-Codes reputation and Rotrex's reliability have been fully exploited to create a Bolt on Supercharger Kit with un-rivalled technology, quality, and performance.

With performance, reliability and stock feel being major factors in the extensive development carried out by JBS.

 

There will be 2 stages, both have lower compression ratio using a JBS Stainless steel head spacer gasket lowering compression to 9:1

Stage 1 is none intercooled version and will produce 350bhp.

Stage 2 is an intercooled version with higher boost levels and will produce 400bhp

We have custom designed a 10L (500bhp capable) intercooler that will fit the Mk5 chassis range with minimal trimming to bumper rail.

Our own mk5 is currently having the Stage 1 final development kit fitted. With the Stage 2 intercooled version to follow.

The above Stage 1 kit has been designed to work in collaboration with the Milltek cat-back performance exhaust system and OEM downpipe and CAT's.

 

STAGE 2 - 400bhp

Rotrex supercharger, supercharger bracket, pulley, Setrab oil cooler, lines and reservoir

JBS boost and intake circuits

JBS head spacer gasket kit for lower compression

JBS custom spec Intercooler and extra pipework

Large diverter valve

550cc Injectors

Spark Plugs

Oil, Oil Filter, Coolant

Custom-Code Phase 3 tuning

The above Stage 2 kit has been designed to work in collaboration with the Milltek cat-back performance exhaust system and Milltek Sport CAT's.

Customers are welcome to demo passenger rides in our Stage 1 demo Mk5 R32, approximately 4 weeks after that it will receive the STG2 kit and again will be available for demo rides.

 

JBS Supercharger Kits

The reason why we are now offering supercharger kits for the Mk5 is because: We have already developed, designed, built and tested the turbo kits for the Mk5 chassis and waiting on our first batch of 20 turbo exhaust manifolds to be completed. In the mean time we have started building our supercharger kits as many people still ask us for supercharger kit, rather than turbo kit. If there is a popular demand we try to supply!

We also stand to claim that the Custom-Code software is the most sophisticated, well tuned, heavily researched and developed software for the Mk4/Mk5 R32 engines be it naturally aspirated or forced induction.

For example, we are able to activate the turbo speed sensor for monitoring the turbine shaft speeds when tuning large turbo kits, this is also used by VW in their own development/tuning process for factory spec vehicles.

As with our turbo kits, our supercharger kit are only available for installation at JBS Auto Designs and will not be for sale in kit format.
