As those of you who have been following our development programme for the Mk4 Golf R32 turbo will know we now have kits ranging from 380 to 650 BHP, starting with our GTS380 to the full blown TS650 kit.

We have now progressed to the Mk5 Golf R32 with our Stage 1 and 2 supercharger kits producing a very respectable 350bhp and 400bhp.  These kits deliver an extremely reliable and naturally aspirated feel to the car.

Now after a year of development JBS can introduce its new TS 380 / TS 440 / TS 550 turbo kits for the Mk5 3.2 24v V6 (R32/TT).

The new JBS Mk5 3.2 TS turbo series offers the nearest thing to OEM turbo kits that money can buy. Using the latest Garrett twin scroll turbo technology with custom designed manifolds, developed, tested and manufactured and mapped here in the UK.

The only truly ground up developed right hand drive turbo kits available in the UK.

JBS Auto Designs & JBS Developments have spent enormous effort, time and resources developing the MK5 3.2 24v V6 turbo manifold. The exhaust manifold has been designed in the best CAD packages available including 3-D modelling and CFD analysis. By performing a computational fluid dynamics analysis, we were able to study exhaust flow, pressure drops, and fluid flow through the exhaust manifold. Multiple computer simulations were done to prove the design before we even had a physical manifold in our hand.

Further development of the new TS series manifold should lead to the release of a cast version supporting internally and externally waste gated turbo options.

The Kits

Stages 1-3 share the same core components, consists of a custom spec, externally gated, Garrett twin scroll turbo, mounted to a full 321 grade stainless steel manifold, using a Tial 44mm wastegate and full 3" V-band downpipe.  This allows a cost effective upgrade path from TS 380 all the way though to the TS 550.

All the kits have a solid 2.5" boost circuit, with the TS 440 and TS 550 kits sharing a JBS designed Mk5 specific front mounted intercooler. The intercooler setup effectively cools the air charge and the custom hard pipe boost plumbing directs the air charge through the intercooler into the intake manifold in as short a route possible.

For the TS 550 turbo kits JBS offer a custom intake manifold, which can sustain higher boost levels than the factory plastic intake and maximizes the air intake to all six cylinders.
